The Department of Pediatric Surgery was established in 1979 with a modest beginning of six beds in the Pediatrics ward and four in the Chest Surgical ward. In 1981, the department relocated to its current location, now boasting 108 beds, including 10 for intensive care and 12 for Surgical Neonatology. In 1996, an additional block was added, featuring four operation theaters for elective surgeries and one for emergency procedures. The department offers comprehensive care, providing 24/7 emergency services alongside its outpatient and inpatient care.
