Mayo Hospital receives 200-300 pediatric burn patients per month in its Pediatric Surgery Emergency, with numbers doubling during the winter season as children from across Punjab seek treatment. Unfortunately, many of these children are turned away by other hospitals, leading to increased mortality and morbidity. In response, KEMCAANA and Friends of Mayo Hospital have come together to address this critical need by initiating the construction of Punjab’s first Pediatric Burn Unit. This facility will provide specialized care, offering hope and healing to these vulnerable young patients.
