Since its establishment in 1940 as the Radium Institute, the Oncology Department has been actively involved in patient care and the education of both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The department offers a comprehensive range of cancer treatment modalities, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and brachytherapy, all under one roof. The unit is equipped with 66 general ward beds and 6 isolation rooms specifically for leukemia patients.
